As you can probably tell, I'm not going in sequential order in my 2017 album. I've been jumping around and working on which ever week jumps out at me. For more about that, check out my Project Life Catch Up plan.
This wasn't a week I was looking forward to documenting. It's a joyful story, but it has a bittersweet end. This was the week that we found out we were pregnant. Pretty awesome right? We had been trying for over 5 years, been through months of infertility treatments and rode that shit infertility rollercoaster for years. It's bittersweet because we lost that baby at 10 weeks pregnant. The story doesn't end there. A few months later we got pregnant again. We now have an amazing 2 year old. Moral of that story....don't give up. If you're going through infertility right now, it @#&%ing sucks, but don't give up hope.
Ok, back to scrapbooking. For this week I started going one direction, then took a sharp turn. I thought I was going to have this cutesy warm vintage vibe going, then I abandoned that plan and ended up with a simple cool toned spread. I'm pretty happy with the outcome. It helps the story take the focal point. Plus pink + teal + charcoal...my total jam.
I used a Citrus Twist Kits Kit to pull this layout together. I do love a good kit! Citrus Twist Kits are the only subscription I'm currently getting (which is TOUGH), but I'm never disappointed. The kits are very versatile and never predictable. For example, this kit was a December kit. I love that it wasn't full of holiday bits. I will admit, sometimes the colors and patterns leave me scratching my head. When I'm not sure what to do with a pattern or embellishment I head over to their blog and I'm always amazed at what their design team is up to. Ok, there's my Citrus Twist Kits commercial. BTW, I'm not associated with CTKs in anyway, I just really dig their products.
